Baltic Technology Group (BTG), along with other Unisys EAE and AB Suite users, participated in the Unisys AB Suite 4.0 Field Test during July of 2013.

Feedback from the BTG AB Suite 4.0 Field Test team is that AB Suite is improving with each new release and version 4.0 is another substantial leap that Unisys has made in enhancing AB Suite's functionality and making this development tool easier to use for developers.

BTG plans to use AB Suite version 4.0 early next year while teaching AB Suite development courses at local Latvian universities.

On September 12, Member of the Board of the Ventspils High Technology Park (the VHTP), Salvis Roga, at the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia signed a cooperation agreement on Development of Space Technologies and Services Cluster 2012-2015. The project will include development of new products, access of export markets, and creation of a basis for space and satellite technologies growth through cooperation of entrepreneurs, research institutions, higher education institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

At the beginning of this academic year BTG faced two challenges in our cooperation with our partner universities in Latvia. The first challenge was to increase the number of universities teaching the AB Suite development course in Latvia, and second was to retain the same number of students as in previous years in the University of Latvia, Riga (www.lu.lv) and Daugavpils University, Daugavpils (www.du.lv).
